Tonight in Rosarito, Jackie Nava & Kenia Enríquez defend their titles
Tonight in Rosarito, it will be Jackie Nava and the youngster Kenia Enriquez, both from our sister city, Tijuana, defending their world titles.
This evening, just a few miles across the border in Rosarito, B. C., Mexico at the Centro De Convenciones, it will be Zanfer Promotions once again presenting an outstanding fight card featuring the Female WBA & WBC Super Bantamweight Champion 34 year-old “The Azteca Princess” Jackie Nava (31-4-3) of Tijuana defending her multiple World titles against the 26 year-old Mayra Alejandra “La Guapa” Gomez (16-3-0, 4 KOs) of Rincon de los Sauces, Neuquen, Argentina.
Plus in the Co-main event they feature the Female WBO World Flyweight Champion, 21 year-old Kenia Enriquez (13-0-0, 6 KOs) of Tijuana defending her title against the former Female Flyweight World Champ, 33 year-old Melissa “Mighty” McMorrow (9-5-3, 1 KO) of San Francisco, CA.
Twelve additional male bouts fill out this rather large fight card. One bout features the highly touted bantamweight southpaw Luis “Pantera” Nery (15-0-0, 10 KOs) who will be going up against the more experienced, 27 year-old righty Jether “The General” Oliva (22-2-2, 10 KOs) who hails from General Santos City, Cotabato del Sur, Philippines.
At Thursday’s weigh-ins, the young ladies Jackie Nava (l) and Mayra Gomez (r) went through the obligatory posing for photos with the Tecate representatives.
Like Nava and Gomez, it was Kenia Enriquez (l) of Tijuana posing for photos with her opponent Melissa McMorrow (r) from San Francisco after Thursday’s weigh-in.

It seems with every show you’re going to have at least one mismatch. One of the gentlemen in this face-off goes by the name of Uzi and the other has the handle “Sphagetti.” We’ll leave it up to you to guess which is which?
Like in Tijuana and Ensenada, we’re seeing tremendous economic development in Rosarito, B. C., Mexico, the host of Saturday’s event. After opening their doors in April of 2013, the above Metropolitan Convention Center, known as the “Baja California Center” has become Rosarito’s showplace for events of this size.
You should recognize these gentleman. In all likelihood the entire Azteca broadcast team will be at ringside for these exciting title fights.
