Weighins completed for Friday, Feb. 15th Borizteca Show at The Big Punch Arena

First up, we have your copy of Friday Night’s Bout Sheet which more than likely be altered as we get closer to that opening bell.

This is what you’d call a serious face-off. At Thursday’s weigh-ins at the Tijuana Boxing Commissioner’s Office, the combatants in the Friday evening’s Main Event, Domonique Dolton (left) of Detroit, Michigan and Ramon Barajas (right) of Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico appear to be staring at one another with very bad intentions.
With the addition of a new, special tattoo, one that includes his immediate family, Ramon Barajas was anxious to show it off.
With Kevin Torres of Bellingham, Washington (right) (10-1-1) returning to action after that tough loss to Jorge Brito, you can be certain his opponent on Friday night, Manuel Valenzuela of Navojoa, won’t last long.
19-year-old Judith Vivanco (4-2-1) and her entourage came all the way from Mexico City to fight the more seasoned Carina Moreno from Watsonville, Calif. who has a record of 23-6.
Who would have thought Manuel Sandoval of Tijuana would be fighting for almost five years, and yet he has still not won a single fight? And, it’s almost a given he won’t be able to beat his opponent on Friday night. Angel Viedas has a solid record of (22-9-1).
(top, left) Whether it be a judge or referee, promoter or fight doctor, Angel Viedas knows just about everyone.
Jorge Ruiz (11-3) returns to action after a year lay-off to face Jose Eduardo Poom from Empalme, Mexico who has a dismal record of 2-17-1. After eight years in the sport, it’s time for Ruiz to get serious.
On Thursday at the weigh-ins, Jorge Ruiz had his most loyal supporters, his proud parents and his girlfriend.
In Bout #6 you have Rafael Sandoval of Ensenada (1-0) (bottom, left) taking on Abraham Yocupicio (0-7) (top) from Tijuana.
In Bout #7, they have the much taller Marcos Arroyo (1-0) from Stockton, Calif. (bottom, left) taking on the shorter Alberto Martinez (top) of Tijuana (0-3).
Bout #8 features the Pro Debut of heavyweight Amir Elsaey of Los Angeles, Calif. (bottom, left). He’ll be facing Jair Amaral of Navojoa, Mexico (0-1).
In the final bout of the evening, Bout #9, they have Giovannie Gonzalez from Sacramento, Calif. (6-3) in a four round Super Featherweight bout scheduled with Federico Rodriguez of Tijuana (1-10). Rodriguez failed to appear at the weigh-in and will need to weigh-in on Friday, before the fight. All we know about Rodriguez is that he is a regular knockout victim ever since he turned Professional at 18-years of age. He’s also fought at many different weights, bantamweight all the way up to welterweight. He’s now 20-years-old and at times he does get past the first and second rounds. In his 11 bouts, Rodriguez has now been knocked out a total of nine times.
