Photos from Thursday’s Weigh-ins for Friday’s bouts at Four Points by Sheraton

Lamont Williams (right) (1-1-0) is a whole head taller than his opponent Raul Talamantes (0-2-0). If he gets desperate we might see Talamantes hitting Williams in the kneecaps.

Emmanuel Robles’ opponent on Friday night is Luis Sanchez (left) the brother of Alan Sanchez. With Sanchez's height advantage, Robles, the 2009 National PAL Champion, will have to do most of his fighting in close.

Also on the undercard is the always tough Pablo “Bronco” Armenta (2-0-1) of San Diego (right) taking on Escondido, CA’s Alejandro Cruz (3-11-2, 2 KO’s) in a featherweight four rounder. This will be Cruz’s first bout after switching trainers. He now trains at Rhino Boxing in Vista.

In the co-main event, welterweight Luis Grajeda, (left) 10-0-0, 7 KO’s from Chihuahua, Mexico, will be facing Alan Sanchez 5-2-0, 2 KO’s from Fairfield, Ca. Both boxers weighed the same, 147 pounds. Prediction: Because of their similar styles, this should be the best bout of the evening.

In the main event, Chris “the San Diego Kid” Martin of Chula Vista, Ca. (right) with 19 wins and zero losses goes for win #20 Friday night against Jose Luis “Tapitas” Araiza of Tijuana, Mex1co who has 29 wins and only 2 losses.
