Usman Ahmed writes a check he can’t cash

Some boxers are delusional, others masochistic

After the local fans cheered and clapped wildly at Usman “Uzzy” Ahmed’s entertaining ring entrance, they suddenly turned on their local hero and mocked the way he went bye-bye so quickly.

Prior to this match, the 28 year-old Ahmed of Derby, Derbyshire, United Kingdom, had a record of 6-2-1 after facing boxers who had a combined record of 34-81-7. Why he was so confident and demonstrated such cockiness before this match with Ashley “Flash Ash” Sexton (8-0), is still a mystery. The undefeated Sexton, who had fought twice as a featherweight, was obviously the much bigger man and had knocked out four people. Check out the video, it’s quite amusing.

On April 27, Ahmed, now 6-4-1, a natural flyweight, is scheduled to fight Paul Edwards (8-0-0, 2 KOs), a natural bantamweight from Olympia, Liverpool, Merseyside, United Kingdom.
