UFC 234

How about this match-up? Rising star Israel Adesanya is set to face former middleweight champ Anderson Silva at UFC 234. UFC announced the 185-pound match on November 24th. UFC 234 will take place at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia, on February 9, 2019. Adesanya established himself as one of the sport’s up-and-coming super stars by compiling a 15-0 professional record which includes a first-round TKO victory over Derek Brunson in his last outing at UFC 230. Meanwhile, Silva is returning from his one-year USADA suspension after failing a drug test ahead of a proposed bout with Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Fight Night 122. The 43-year-old hasn’t competed since February, 2017, when he ended a five-bout winless streak with a disputed decision victory over Brunson at UFC 208. UFC also has plans to feature the middleweight championship between Robert Whittaker and Kelvin Gastelum.
