Three local fighters featured on Thompson Boxing Promotions’ fight card
The Main Event on Friday evening, July 21st, with its redemption theme, features a pair of outstanding boxers looking to rebound off recent losses.
“It’s ‘New Blood’ and it’s a fight between two guys who just lost in their last outing,” said Alex Camponovo, the General Manager and matchmaker for Thompson Boxing Promotions, a well-respected boxing promotion company who has now been in business for over 16 years. “We have former WBC bantamweight title challenger Carlos Carlson from Tijuana, who just finished fighting the legendary Shinsuke Yamanaka in February in Tokyo, Japan, going up against Isaac Zarate, who last fought for the vacant NABF featherweight title on our May show. Zarate lost a really close split decision to Erick Ituarte.”
This six bout-fight card will begin locally at 8 p.m. PT on July 21st and be streamed live on Facebook Live and on ThompsonBoxing.com with Beto Duran and Steve Kim doing the announcing and color commentary.
