The Arena and Undisputed Downtown excited about their wins

On Friday evening, the Xplode Fight Series took the show on the road to entertain the troops at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, CA.

When you can’t be in two places at the same time, it’s great to have some roving reporters.

Ted Johnson, owner of the Undisputed Fitness & Training Center in San Diego’s Downtown.

On Friday evening, June 22, 2012, Ted Johnson, the owner of Undisputed Fitness and Training Center, Downtown San Diego, wrote to inform me: “Hey, Jim, while you were at Petco (Park) watching the Padres defeat the Seattle Mariners, our guys were up at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, doing their thing. In one of the featured bouts, our guy, coach Nick Barnes KO’d City Boxing’s head jiu jitsu coach Carlos Baruch to win the Xplode Fight Series 170 pound Super Middleweight Title. This was one exciting bout.”

Also, The Arena pro MMA team checked in by way of Charles Martinez: “We went 4-0 tonight up here at Twentynine Palms. Chris Cope won his match by TKO (elbows from the mount position). Waylon Kennel won by TKO. Chris Bien won an unanimous decision (vicious knees to the head all fight). And of course, Shane Krutchen (10-2) beat Jason Miknuk (4-3) of the Compound, Oceanside, CA in the Main Event to bring home the 145 pound Xplode Championship belt! Great night for our team. When we train so hard together, we bring each other up. That’s a team! I couldn’t be more proud of our guys.”

As soon as we get the rest of the results they will be added.
