Featherweight standout Ruben Villa (13-0, 5 KOs) from Salinas, Calif. makes his fifth appearance of the year when he headlines “New Blood” on Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Salinas Storm House. Villa, 21, returns to his hometown for the second time since winning the vacant WBO Youth featherweight championship in April. In that bout, he easily outpointed Marlon Olea for his first pro title. The southpaw followed that performance with a knockout of Ricardo Lopez in June and a unanimous decision victory over Jose Santos Gonzalez in August.
