More photos from one of the best photographers on the planet

One of photographer Paul Gallegos’ passions is surfing and as a surfer he is often at one with nature. On this occasion, Paul just happened to be at the right place at the right time to snap one of those rare ocasions when two fun-loving dolphins happen to be showing off.
Paul Gallegos, photographer extraordinaire, Imperial Beach, San Diego, CA

At the time of this photo, surfer/photographer/high school teacher Paul Gallegos was often a playmate of this magnificent osprey. An osprey is a fish eating hawk.
Since he first began taking photos, Paul Gallegos has traveled the globe capturing those unique moments in time, not only from nature or the animal kingdom but from the more striking, expressive world of professional boxing. His photos range from the sensitive to the most gut wrenching.
In this current collection, you’ll find photos of some of the legends of boxing from a very young Manny Pacquiao to a more seasoned veteran like James Tony. Not that we’re any great judge of photographic subject matter but ahead you’re going to see our preferences in a countdown of the top 25 photos which Paul Gallegos provided.
We can’t thank Paul enough for his willingness to provide us with these captivating photos.

#22 Here we see one of the rare occasions when super bantamweight standout Christopher Martin (l) received a direct hit from his opponent Jose Luis Araiza.

#21 Since winning a World Title is every boxer’s dream, it’s only fitting that Vic Darchinyan’s support staff would be so ecstatic that they raise their hero on high after he won not only one, but two World Titles, the WBA and the IBF World Flyweight titles.

#20 Despite all the hoopla, some trainers remain focused on their job. This one is intent on getting that mouthpiece out of Manny Pacquiao’s mouth before he chokes on it.

#17 No one, including referee Pat Russell, will ever forget the Israel Vazquez (red trunks) versus Rafael Marquez (black trunks) wars.

#5 Even though she was a bloody mess, Amaris Quintana (l) outscored her opponent Gloria Salas (r) to come away with the victory.
