Matt McKinney claims Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight is a done deal
According to heavyweight boxer Matt McKinney of San Diego, who is confident enough to put his psychic powers on the line, the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. is already a done deal and it will take place on May 2, 2015 at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas.
On Wednesday, San Diego heavyweight boxer Matt McKinney made the following statement: “The Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight WILL be announced at the Super Bowl to the projected billion spectators world wide.”
At first you had to wonder how he could be so sure of himself. Then you learn McKinney had specialized in Psychology while a student of advanced studies at San Diego State University. He studied the effects of social and cognitive factors on the way individuals and groups perceive, influence and relate to one another.
In other words, McKinney studied their past forays and is now certain how Mayweather, Bob Arum and the people who advise them will react. That’s why he’s saying, “It’s a done deal. And why not use the Super Bowl to make the announcement. No annual sporting event has ever gotten as much attention and hype as the Super Bowl.”

The only thing left to ponder is the current Las Vegas “Betting Line” on who will be the one to announce this news and will that person use the words “Drum roll please” for their lead in.
With NBC airing six hours of content leading up to the kickoff and having over 20 people adding their comments along the way, who will be that person to make the announcement?
You’ve got Bob Costas as the primary host, with contributions from Dan Patrick, Josh Elliott, Tony Dungy, Rodney Harrison, Hines Ward, Mike Florio, Peter King, Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth and Michele Tafoya. You have Carolyn Manno and Randy Moss reporting from the team hotels, with Liam McHugh and Doug Flutie on the field at the University of Phoenix Stadium with their X’s and O’s demonstrations. Then, the Ravens head coach John Harbaugh will be serving as a guest analyst. After that Savannah Guthrie of NBC News will interview president Barack Obama from the White House.
Let me ask you, does Mayweather’s influence extend that far? In the past he made that claim. We also have our buddy Benny Ricardo doing the Spanish broadcast.
Next, Josh Elliott will reappear to interview halftime show performer Katy Perry. Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski will report from a live tailgate party where they’ll interview celebrities such as Elizabeth Banks, Chris Pratt and Adriana Lima. Wow! This fight announcement could happen at any number of times.
What we know as of now: Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 KOs), the 36-year-old Filipino legend, and Arum have repeatedly said they have agreed to all the terms outlined by Mayweather (47-0, 26 KOs), who turns 38 in February, during talks with CBS CEO Leslie Moonves, who has served as the go-between on behalf of Mayweather and his adviser, Al Haymon. The two sides have been trying to hammer out a deal to fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 2nd. Pacquiao agreed to his contract weeks ago and it’s all been up to Mr. Mayweather to sign his contract.
A while back, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum told the New York Post, “The Megafight, that the boxing world has been clamoring for, should be finalized in the next couple days.”
Then, on Tuesday of this week, the two fighters met publicly and then privately for more than an hour in Miami.
We heard another quote from Arum, “I think it helped a lot because we were all putting papers together, and there was still a question as to whether Floyd really wanted to do the fight or not. Based on the meeting with Pacquiao in the hotel suite, Manny and Pacquiao’s adviser Michael Koncz were convinced Floyd absolutely wants to do the fight.”
According to Matt McKinney, come Monday, this whole thing should be behind us.
