Danny Roman on 12 fight winning streak, Giovani Santillan goes for win number 20

Danny “Baby Face Assassin” Roman, Giovani “Gallo de Oro” Santillan and Erick “All American Boy” Ituarte, three gentlemen who when on your fight card guarantee it’s going to be an exciting night of boxing.
World ranked super bantamweight Danny Roman (20-2-1, 7 KOs) puts his 12 fight winning streak plus his WBA-NABA Title on the line against the 31 year-old Victor Proa (28-2-2, 21 KOs) on Friday, November 18 in the Thompson Boxing Promotions 10-round main event at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, Calif.
Roman, who currently occupies the No. 5 spot in the WBA rankings, is coming off a one-sided, unanimous decision victory over Enrique Quevedo in August. The 26-year-old Los Angeles native will be making his fourth start this year and fifth title defense. “I’ve stayed busy throughout the year so I know I’m going to come out sharp against Proa,” said Roman. “We’ve added a few new things during training camp and I’m excited to test them out against an experienced opponent like Proa.”
In an 8-round special attraction, junior lightweight Erick Ituarte (15-1-1, 2 KOs) of Santa Ana, Calif. once again brings his fearless style to the ring against Alejandro Ochoa (7-12-2, 1 KO) of Michoacan, Mexico. The 21-year-old is currently on an eight bout winning streak going back two years. That being said, Mr. Ituarte found himself in an all-out brawl on June 24th of this year when he faced the 26-year-old tough as nails Daniel “Huracan” Ramirez of Tijuana. Ituarte went down in round one. Ramirez went down in round three and then Ituarte went back down in round five. San Diego boxing fans might remember “The Huracan.”

Daniel Ramirez (r) fought several times in Tijuana and then came north to San Diego’s Crowne Plaza on July 25, 2014, on a Bobby D Presents fight card. He ended up stopping San Diego’s Aaron Garcia (l) with a fourth-round TKO to win the vacant USA California State Super Featherweight title.

They sure grow up fast in the world of boxing. Earlier this year, young Michael Dutchover (bottom right) was still a senior at Midland High School in Midland, Texas. Photo left, Dutchover is a promising, professional boxer.
