In Lozano’s first two bouts at the Gimnasio Oscar “Tigre” Garcia, Ensenada, B. C., Mexico, the former cross-country runner faced people making their debuts and won both matches by an unanimous decision.
After losing a mixed decision in his third bout to Luis Borrego at the Casino Del Sol in Tucson, Arizona, a fight seen on National TV, Lozano decided it was time to seek an even better coach to sharpen his skills.
With the experience gained as an amateur, record 60 wins 6 losses, plus his two stints on the Mexican National Team, Lozano hopes being tutored by Vargas and sparring with the likes of Christian and Emilio Bojorquez and Adrian Vargas, will gain him back the edge he desires.
