The Bound Boxing Academy at 675 Palomar St., Ste E, in Chula Vista is the home of the popular Friday Night Fights and as you might imagine quite a few Boxing Standouts to include the owner’s daughter Andrea Medina, a USA National Team Member are always in the gym working out.

Before the Covid 19 Pandemic reared it’s ugly head, Medina was headed to Japan to compete in the 2020/2021 Olympics. That all ended when they began dropping more than a few weight classes. The Bxing Club of San Diego has three local locations: one in UTC/La Jolla, another in Kearny Mesa and a third in San Diego’s East
Village, one more spectacular than the other. As far as instructors go, they have one of the best in all the land in Giovani “Gallo de
Oro” Santillan who was a recent co-headliner on a Top Rank Boxing Show which aired in mid-October of this year on ESPN+.
It took place right here in San Diego at the Pechanga Arena. Santillan’s near shutout performance of 100-90, 100-90, 99-91 was
awesome and keeps him undefeated at 28-0 plus in the running for the World Title. The photo below catches the hardworking
Santillan doing some late night shadow boxing before leaving his workplace to go home to his wife and one child.
